Climbie social worker wins appeal to keep working

Full Story: http://www.stopinjusticenow.com/News_0845.htm

The social worker responsible for child abuse victim Victoria Climbie's welfare has won an appeal to continue working. Lisa Arthurworrey was sacked by Haringey Council in 2002 and banned from working with children, following the child's death. She appealed against the ban and was successful, and applied to register with the General Social Care Council but her application was refused. A tribunal has now upheld an appeal against the refusal and the council may have to reconsider its decision.
