LEGAL advisors are offering their services to those facing detention under the mental health act. Around one person in three in Bromley will experience some sort of mental health problem every year and a fraction will face compulsory treatment under the new act. A spokesman for the Legal Services Commission (LSC) said: "This can be extremely stressful and confusing time not just for the person affected but also for the family and friends supporting them. "The LSC exists to help vulnerable people, including those in mental distress, get the advice they need through skilled and dedicated providers. This promotes social inclusion and is fundamental to social and legal justice."
