Police searching a former children's home in Jersey have found what could be more human remains. Forensic teams searching Haut de la Garenne found items at the same site where they discovered part of a child's skull on Saturday, February 23. Jersey deputy police chief Lenny Harper said: "We continued to excavate the first site at the house and have taken out a few items. It is too early to say what the significance of those are. They're possibly pieces of bone." The announcement followed the release of a picture of the secret "punishment room" in the building's cellar, which showed writing on a wooden post. The message says: "I've been bad for years and years." Mr Harper said he did not know who had written the chilling message or when it was put there. The picture also reveals a large shallow concrete bath - thought to be one of two "significant" finds made by police last week. Shackles were also found, according to reports. Police have uncovered what victims called a trapdoor, a hole in the ground floor that drops in to the first secret chamber. It is believed there could be three more underground rooms.
